MMC offers a wide range of different measurement probes, samplers and instruments for liquid steel applications.
Based on the Thermal Analysis of a solidifying metal sample, instant carbon control sensors are available as a crucible version or as an immersion sensor. During primary steel melting and steel foundry casting, an instant carbon measurement prior to tap can avoid time delays and off-specification chemistry, especially where medium carbon tap levels are common.
